Training & Workforce Subgroup
Key Purpose
To report to the Executive and Board on issues of training and workforce development in relation to safeguarding children and young people across DSCB partner organisations.
Responsibility
To provide a forum to ensure an effective training plan is in place so that all those working with children, young people and parents in Devon receive appropriate information and training in line with their needs and responsibilities in safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. Identify where there are gaps in training provision and consider solutions
To provide a forum to ensure learning from serious case reviews, case audits and child death reviews will be implemented.
To provide a forum to contribute to the wider workforce development programme to ensure that all staff and volunteers understand their safeguarding responsibilities.
To report to the DSCB Executive on training up take across all partner agencies.
The subgroup will feed into and receive information from DSCB as necessary.
