Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA)

MAPPA are the statutory arrangements for managing sexual and violent offenders.

The purpose of MAPPA is to help reduce the re-offending behaviour of violent and sexual offenders in order to protect the public from serious harm. It aims
to do this by ensuring that all relevant agencies work together effectively to identify all relevant offenders, complete comprehensive Risk Assessments,
to promote information sharing across agencies and to devise and implement robust Risk Management plans.
